UPDATE: Tom Delay Withdraws From Dancing with the Stars

Former House Majority Leader, Tom Delay, has been having a tough time as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. As we reported on September 16th , Delay had a pre-stress fracture of his right foot from the long hours of rehearsal for the show. He continued to dance on, using ice packs and electrical muscle stimulators, but the pain got worse and began to involve both feet. X-rays show that he now had stress fractures of both feet. Show producers and his physicians recommended that he withdraw from the competition, but Delay decided to dance anyway, stating on the show: “What’s a little pain when we can party?” He managed to make it through the dance, and actually did not get the lowest score of the evening.
Today, however, People magazine reports that Delay will withdraw on tonight’s live broadcast.
