Golfer Joey Sindelar, 51, Hospitalized with Pulmonary Embolism

Sindelar, a seven-time winner on the PGA Tour, experienced dizzines and shortness of breath after playing the fourth hole during the third round of the Charles Schwab Cup Championships Tour. He was taken to Sonoma Valley Hospital where he is being kept for observation.
Readers may recall that in 2003, NBC journalist David Bloom died from a pulmonary embolism while traveling with the Third Infantry Division as an embedded reporter in Iraq.
