Breaking News: Gary Coleman Hospitalized in Critical Condition

Different Strokes actor Gary Coleman, 42, has been hospitalized at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, in Provo UT. He is currently listed in critical condition. Family members reportedly told TMZ.com that Coleman had undergone surgery for a head injury secondary to a fall. No further details are available at this time.

Coleman suffered from a kidney problem since infancy, called focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, which accounted for his short stature. He has undergone two kidney transplants, in 1973 and 1984, but still requires dialysis.

In January, Coleman had been admitted to the hospital after suffering a seizure. He had another seizure in February during a TV interview. It it unknown whether today’s head injury is related to a seizure.
