Kim Kardashian’s Butt is Real! Who Cares?

Last night I was watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians , it’s part of my job 😉 and they had a story about how sisters Khloé and Kourtney dared Kim Kardashian to ask her doctor to do an x-ray of her buttocks. This was to prove that she doesn’t have cosmetic implants in them. The topic came up when a tabloid published the “story” about have tragedy had struck Kim when one of her butt implants exploded! Here- watch for yourself:

So, she goes to her personal physician, asks for an ass x-ray to quell the rumors, and voila! Next thing you see is Kim on an x-ray table getting her bum examined. Now it could have been edited out in the interest of time, but usually the x-ray technician will have a discussion about the pros and cons of the x-ray itself. Though there is a minimal risk, typically the areas like the reproductive areas, or thyroid are covered to protect the organs from radiation. What would take an extra 10 seconds to explain could educate the shows 3.11 million viewers about a medical topic they might otherwise not know much about.
