Deadpool Wants You to Touch Yourself

“It’s time to fight back!”

So says Marvel Comics character, Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming film). And what he is referring to is cancer.

In the movie, Reynold’s character, who is the alter ego of former special forces operative Wade Wilson, in an effort to cure his cancer, is subjected to an experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, disfigured skin, an unstable mind, and a “dark, twisted” sense of humor.

Deadpool/Reynolds has released two PSAs. The first is designed to get young men to check themselves for testicular cancer.

The male-focused video was released in partnership with U.K. testicular cancer charity Ballboys. But don’t worry ladies, Deadpool has a PSA for you as well- teaching you how to do breast self exams to pick up breast cancer.

Deadpool will be opening February 12th.
