Breaking News: Prince Dead at 57

Music icon Prince has died at the age of 57.

The Purple Rain singer was apparently found dead in an elevator at his Paisley Park studios this morning. His publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure wrote:

“It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57.”

The cause of death has not yet been determined, however earlier this month, Prince postponed two concerts in Atlanta because of ill health, saying that he had “the flu.” He was able to perform in Atlanta on April 15, however on the flight home, his jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois. Apparently Prince felt very ill and he was taken to an emergency room by ambulance. After three hours, he was discharged to rest at home. Once again, it was said that he had “the flu.”

No doubt, Prince will undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death. We will report back that that time.
